Benefits Of The Oils and Butters In This Recipe:
Beeswax
Beeswax is great for creating a barrier on your lips. Which is especially helpful for you lips as they can get chapped and dry. Also the beeswax will help your lip balm stay firm.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is SO hydrating, it can be used on your lips as is, but it is so hydrating that it doesn't stay on that long so adding it to the other oils and butters will help your lip balm stay on longer!
Shea Butter
I love using Shea butter on my face, lips, and hands for it's moisturizing, smooth, and luxuriously creamy texture. So adding this to your lip balm will help it go on smoothly and add extra moisturization.
Vitamin-E Oil
Vitamin-E oil is really good for keeping your lips healthy and happy. It will help improve the quality of the skin on your lips. You can get Vitamin-E oil capsules at any health food store or on Amazon.
Essential Oils
Well, I have to say, I LOVE ESSENTIAL OILS! I use them ALL the time. Some Essential Oils that I would use in this recipe would be Lavender, Lemon, or Peppermint. Of course not all essential oils are the same quality so make sure you are using high-quality oils! I would not use essential oils from the health food store because they can be toxic if ingested (not good!) I like to use Young Living essential oils because they are the highest quality I've found!
Cacao Butter (Optional)
It's moisturizing and TASTES LIKE CHOCOLATE! Need I say more?! ;)
